Opinions of Richard Stockton, William Smith, Jr., and John Morin Scott on the effect of some recently discovered papers on the case of the Earl of Perth's claim to 7/8 of a proprietorship in East Jersey, and advice on his course of action. Stockton's opinion, DS, 12 Jan. 1768, is followed by copies in another hand of Smith's, dated 21 Dec. 1767, and Scott's, dated 26 Dec. 1767.

John Morin Scott (1730 – September 14, 1784) was a lawyer, military officer, and statesman before, during and after the American Revolution. Born in Manhattan, Scott attended public school in New York before graduating from Yale College.
